.CO Domains

.co domains or “dot co domains” are Top Level Domains (TLDs), available for use as an alternative to the traditional but now saturated .com and .net domains. The advantage of using .co domains is that they are shorter, offer a wider choice of easy and still available names, and work very well for COmpanies, COrporations or COmmercial organizations worldwide.

Although .co domains are also Colombia’s country code Top Level Domain (ccTLD), thanks to a new legislation, starting in June 2010 their use will not be exclusive of Colombian organizations. For this reason, registering .co domains will be possible worldwide and for any individual or organization.

However, because .co domain registrations are taking place during a staged process, if you are interested in registering your .co domain, there are a few key dates that you need to keep in mind.
